Patient Information
Everything you need to prepare for your visit to Enso Dental.
Your First Visit
Your initial appointment will consist of a comprehensive examination and a review of your treatment options. We believe in unhurried, one-on-one time with Dr. Mota to fully understand your needs.
Usually, treatment can be started the same day as the consultation. However, a complex medical history or treatment plan may require an evaluation and a second appointment.
To make your visit as smooth as possible, please bring the following:
- Any dental X-rays taken by a previous dentist, if applicable.
- A complete list of medications you are presently taking.
- Your dental insurance information or completed forms.
- New patient forms (if you've filled them out in advance).
IMPORTANT: All patients under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Please alert the office if you have any medical condition that may be of concern prior to treatment.
Our Commitment to Your Safety
Infection control is a cornerstone of a safe dental practice, and it's essential to building trust. We follow rigorous, universal precautions to protect our patients and our staff alike.
Our safety measures include:
- Sterilization of all reusable equipment, including dental hand-pieces, using an autoclave (a device that kills bacteria and viruses with steam, heat, and pressure).
- Chemical disinfection of all countertops and surfaces after every patient.
- Use of disinfectant hand soap, gloves, and face masks for all team members.
- Use of disposable materials whenever possible.
Home Care Instructions
After Cosmetic Reconstruction
It will take time to adjust to the feel of your new bite. It's normal to experience some hot and cold sensitivity as the teeth heal. Your gums may also be sore; warm salt-water rinses can help. Daily brushing and flossing are critical for the long-term success of your new smile.
After Crown & Bridge Appointments
These procedures usually take two visits. A temporary crown will be placed to protect the tooth. Please avoid sticky or hard foods and chew on the opposite side of your mouth. It's important to brush normally but floss carefully (pull the floss out from the side, don't pull up).
